Funded by San Francisco’s Department of Disability and Aging Services. Services are for people living in San Francisco who are 60+, or adults 19–59 who identify as having a mental or physical disability. We do not handle family law, divorce, Medi-Cal, or other civil cases — we can refer you.

Benefits appeals, simple estate planning, consumer-debt help, and some immigration filings for eligible San Franciscans.

Elder & Disability Law Program
As our community ages, older adults and their families need to navigate legal, financial, and health-care decisions. Thoughtful planning and reliable legal support can protect lifelong assets and honor people’s wishes.
Over the past five years we have provided legal services to more than 1,000 low-income older adult residents of San Francisco.
Services we provide
Available to people living in San Francisco who are 60+, or any adult 19–59 who identifies as having a mental or physical disability.

SSI and SSDI
Appeals and questions about Supplemental Security Income and Social Security Disability Insurance. We do not handle SSA retirement or pensions.

Directives and witness signatures.

If you are sued by creditors, harassed by collection agencies, or dealing with identity theft.

What we do not handle
We do not provide services for family law, divorce, Medi-Cal, or other civil cases. We can refer you to an organization that does. Other questions are welcome, but we may have to refer them out.
